Dear Parents/Guardians:The summer assignment for Science for incoming 6th graders is as follows: Each student needs to read a biography of a famous scientist. A book report will be written upon completion of the book. Please include any/all relevant information about the life of this scientist, what they are famous for doing/inventing/discovering. Discuss the lasting impression the scientist and their work had on the scientific community and the world. This is to be done in report form with the name and image of the scientist on the front cover.

Supply Lists: 6th Grade Homeroom, Religion, Social Studies

Welcome to my Homeroom, Class 6-41! Below is a list of supplies needed for  Homeroom and your Religion, and Social Studies classes. These supplies are due on the first day of school in September.

For Homeroom:

  • Paper towels
  • Lysol wipes/spray
  • Tissues
  • Baby wipes
  • Sanitizer
  • 1 folder
  • 1 hanger with your name(placed on tape) for your coats and belongings for the closet. 
  • A basket large enough to put books and supplies and could fit under the desk (labeled with your name) 

General supplies (for Religion/Social Studies):

  • Looseleaf
  • Art supplies(crayons, markers, colored pencils, scissors, glue, etc)
  • Blue or Black Pens
  • Red pens
  • Construction Paper
  • Computer Paper
  • Pencil Case
  • Homework Book/Assignment Pad

For Religion:

  • 1 marble notebook
  • 1 folder
  • Contact paper to cover the Religion Workbook

For Social Studies:

  • 1 marble notebook
  • 1 folder
  • Book sock or brown paper cover to cover the Social Studies Textbook

**Note: other supplies maybe asked to be brought in and/or purchased in September or throughout the school year (either for Homeroom, Religion, or Social Studies).**
